I waited a good 7 minutes before I was even acknowledged. I watched two workers socialize.. Another one dug through her purse for a few minutes, finally pulling out her cigarettes and cell phone and laid them on one of the silver tables where food is prepared. Awesome. -_- never again.

Food, bakery, and consistency. Great salads and fresh bread to savor. Busy during the lunch hour. Always willing to accommodate my substitutions to make the food for my liking.

The bread and baked goods are awesome just like every location I've been to. The staff seems nicer than other locations which is a plus as well!

So slooooooow. Took like 25 minutes to get food, cashiers slow, prep even slower. Food is "meh" at best and overpriced for the measly offering

Friendly customer service, clean eating area, overall an excellent experience. The food was perfect for the rainy day it's been. I also love the fireplace they have inside and free wifi.

Fast service and the food seems pretty good each time. Staff have been friendly for the most part. Place is clean and relaxing.

This was the worst panera I have been to! When we checked our order they had not put in one sandwich. There were two special orders and they were both wrong. Then they didn't give us a whole sandwich only 1/2. We were done by now and left.

I ordinarily would not give Panera Bread a five star review but the service here was so good, I couldn't resist :) Went twice since Colorado Springs has such terrible restaurant choices...really enjoyed my breakfast sandwich on the second visit.

Food is great, slow service at lunch food is consistent unlike other locations. Staff is generally friendly

Food isn't bad. Bread is good. Sandwiches are overpriced for what they are. I had a good bacon club there the other day, which pleased me greatly.

The staff was friendly, but the Manager was curt and rude to us. Seemed that they were short a cashier or two. No big deal. We patiently waited in line. The Manger took over the cash register when we got to the front of the line. No greeting or even acknowledgment. She was obviously is a bad mood and basically took it out on us with curt single word answers to every question or comment we made. Figured better to cut our losses. So, I quickly ordered the pre-made Souffle. As she was grabbing it from the warming plate, the other cashier called to the Manager that she had already sold that last variety. Well, there was this pregnant pause... and you could nearly cut the tension in the air from the steam coming out of the Manager's ears. But before the she could explode, I jumped in and said, "No problem. I'll take whatever you have left." The Manager grabbed another Souffle variety and basically threw it down in front me without a word. Well, we paid for our food and as we headed to a table. Then, I suddenly realized that with all that drama in ordering, I forgotten to get my coffee. I went back to the register and the Manager wouldn't give me the time of day. I stood there for quite a while trying to get her attention until the other cashier at the far end of the bar noticed me and beckoned me over. I explained that I simply wanted a coffee to go with my breakfast, which was getting cold. She was very apologetic and got me a cup right away. This is THE only reason this Panera got 2 stars. Would not go back to this location again due the Manager's attitude. PS - I did receive a timely and polite apology from Panera's Customer Service.

You know what I like? Bagels, bread, salad, sandwiches, and soup. Who doesn't? You know what I don't like? Paying absurd prices for these things - if I am getting a sandwich for 9.95, it better give me a handy in the backseat of a Honda Civic. The worst part is I am still bamboozled by others - and sometimes myself - into comign here. "I'll try something different," or "it will be better this time." DAMNIT - stick to your convictions! The place is clean and the staff is friendly and quick, but that does not outweigh the mediocrity of the food and it's unreasonable price. Truly, a "meh."

Yeah, it's a chain, but this location takes it to the next level. I have never had bad service here. That's not bad for a chain. I go here 2-3x per month to pick up bagels for our weekly staff meeting. The morning counter staff is consistent and they have helped me get the orders down to a science. I mean, I know what I like, but by asking them what's the most popular, they've helped me figure it out so that we have no bagels left over. You know there's always at least one Jalapeno or Onion left in the AM. Not from this shop! Nice job :-)

Great food! Went for lunch and had the Cuban chicken sandwich with broccoli cheese soup and a drink for about $9. A bit pricey for lunch. The great and humbling thing was that the gentleman in line in front of me told me thank you for service and paid for my lunch!!( I was in uniform). I have been here for 3 weeks and everyone is so nice! Keep it classy Colorado Springs!!!

If I could have it my way, I'd eat at Panera's everyday. I fear going in because I want to order everything. Staff service could improve. All together, a must try if you haven't already.

I pick up breakfast for my office and clients multiple times per week and this is by far the most poorly run Panera in Colorado Springs. They are the only Panera I've been to that will not put bagels in a nice container. They throw them in gigantic brown bags with no presentation. I asked them to put them in nice boxes and they said they were out. That was two years ago...

Worst experience ever- it is unfortunate how one employee can ruin an experience. I was rushed through on ordering, my questions were answered with disgust and my food was prepared incorrectly even though the employee taking my order repeated it back to me before sending it off to be made. Employees need to check their attitude at the door before work. Will never return.

Horrible service. I guess this is what happens if you hire people who doesn't care about the quality of their work. We ordered for 15 people, called a day in advance. Whoever answered the phone refuse to individually name the order as we requested. On the day of, some orders were wrong, some were missing. If I'm the manager of this store, I'd be so embarrass reading on all the reviews here on Yelp.

Panera has a lot of healthy choices and some kinda naughty baked goods. The people at this Panera were very friendly. I got my order quickly. I got a birthday cinnamon roll. It was a little dry-ish. But, it still tasted okay. I like the different choices in coffee.

I'm amazed at how many times I can order the same thing - quinoa salad - and how many of those times I get no quinoa. I would assume that if you call an item something, that you actually include it. And if you choose not to include it, don't charge the full price. Other than quite often getting orders wrong, the food is good. Update - a Mediterranean chicken salad with quinoa that contains no chicken and no quinoa. Really? Can we give some effort?

The food as always was great. The service was abysmal. I was part of a large take out order and because they refused to write what things were or even names on the items at least a quarter of the people either ate something they didn't order or didn't get anything. They missed at least 2 people out of just under 20 and it took half our lunch to figure out what we did have and what we didn't have.and whose was what. Everyone said the same thing "its such a bummer because their food is so good but we wont go there again."

I've always liked the food here but have been disappointed when going to buy bread or bagels for home. They always seem to be out of almost everything when I get there. I guess one must show up right when they open. Last Saturday went at 10:30 AM to buy bulk bagels and some bread. No go. They only had 2 kinds of bagels left and NO bread loaves. Maybe I'm stupid but being out of those that early in the morning on a Saturday seems like poor planning and management. I asked them when they would have more and they said "not anytime soon." The good thing is this led me to go to the OLde World Bagel place up the road and now I will be buying all my bulk bagels there (see why in my review of same). Panera's loss is Olde World's gain.

I know Panera does a crazy busy lunch service and come 2pm, when we arrived there, the place looked like a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Dirty tables, napkins strewn along floors and booths. Suddenly instead of two working cash register people there was one older lady who said her machine wasn't turned on. She didn't offer a solution and just stared at me till I asked her, "Well then where do I go to place an order?" She pointed me to the register next to hers where a lady whose name tag said "trainer" stood chatting with another employee. Maybe she was decompressing after the lunch rush. Still, we shouldn't have been made to feel like we were causing some major inconvenience. The restaurant wasn't at all crowded. We weren't there just asking to use the public restroom. The food was safe and predictable. The soups will always taste the way you'd expect. I don't know that they're made in house. I don't know that I mind eating reheated bagged soup so long as it tastes like I need it to. The menu has become overwhelming over the years but I'm glad to see most sandwiches are now prepared fresh.
